My journey from Domestic Dunce to Desperately Domestic

 

Desperately Domestic is for people under pressure. It is less about housework and more about making your house work for you. Desperately Domestic assumes that:

 

You are not lazy (just demotivated)

To be truly lazy, you have to have stopped caring. If you are reading Desperately Domestic it tells me that you care about yourself, your family and your home.

 

You don’t know unless someone shows you how

Housework is real work. Most jobs take weeks, if not years of education, training and experience. Why is housework different? It’s not.

 

You don’t need to be ‘told off’

There are certain Essential Minimum Standards (EMS) that you have to meet - these are to keep you and your family safe from illnesses and accidents. Everything else is optional. Yes, really, it is.

 

Your home does not meet your own standards and you want to do something about it

This tells me that you have ‘a certain standard’ in mind and that you have the motivation to get up and get to it.
